1. Introduction

This article is been written based on the knowledge for the newbies or freshers who are new to web development environment/world.Here in this article,I am gonna cover some of the complete basic things of the web development field.

2. What is Web Development?

Talking about web development, We can say web development as the work involved in developing or building a website on the internet. Now a website building or development can range from a simple webpage of some basic text to a complete web based internet application like some e-commerce, social media sites, and many more like this.

3. Fields in web development

Now talking about the inner world/fields in web development,There are are mainly two fields as web developers and web designers. There are actually many more like UI/UX, CI,CX, etc but as this article explanation is for freshers or newbies for now we will just carry with only these two fields.

3.1 Who are web Developers?

In simple explanation if i say, These are the guys who takes cares working part or you can say as the responsive part of the website and are more onto the coding part,

Think of them as like they combine various available resources like engine,transmission,wheels,etc to construct a fully function CAR that is error free to run on the roads as per required by the customer. Here think of the resources of the car building as the programming languages like HTML,JAVASCRIPT,PHP,PYTHON,etc and think of website as a car which is technically error free to run freely on the internet.

In short think of web developers as they take care of the functional part of our car(Website) to make it run smoothly according to customer affordability on the road(Internet).

3.2 Who are web designers?

Now these are the guys who take care for the overall looks of the website i.e; they make sure that the website is not only responsive but also attractive and looks cools to the customers,

now think of them as like they would be responsible for the aesthetic design of the car(website) like adding the comfort seats,the layout of the car architecture, adding a cool color to the color so it look cool and attractive to the public (visitors to the website).

In short think of web designers as they take care of the overall looks for our car(website) to make it look attractive.

4) Which one to choose web developer or web designer?

Now this decision is completely on you to decide.

If you think you are imaginative and have a wonders of idea in your head for the website to look even more creative and attractive and give the website a complete awesome look then definitively you should a give a try to web designer, Also make sure you are good with HTML, CSS ,Adobe,etc kind of designing software.

And if you think you love technologies and coding has always been your passion and you love to see the big and huge line of codes and it doesn't makes you overwhelmed then web development is sure thing you will like.

Now even in web development there are three more fields as:

1. Front-end development: The “front-end” refers to “stuff” on a web-
   site that you see and interact with, like menus, drop-downs, etc.
2. Back-end development: The “back-end” is like the portion of the
   iceberg below the surface. Without it, the website can’t function.
   The back-end deals with things like servers, applications, and data-
   bases.
3. Full-stack development: This is the combination of both back-end
   and front-end development.

Choose wisely according to your skills set especially as a fresher, But in my recommendation try starting your web carrier as front end development.

5) Should I even opt for web development field?

In my opinion a definitively “Yes”!! as to kick-start your carrier in the programming field, web development is really fun and at same time very challenging field to upgrade your skills as a fresher for your brighter coding future, and guys try to start your career from a good startup companies as workload given by them makes you handle pressure and teaches you to work in the standalone position that will definitively upgrade your skills and knowledge at a very high speed and at a very short amount of time, Now i know you may be thinking frustrated and kind of scare from this line but guys remember one thing for one in for life long:

There is no and never will be any shortcuts to any kind of success.

which in return i think will definitely needed by all freshers to call themselves a “PRO” in short amount of time.

Conclusion

At the end of the day, its you and your skills that will lead you to a very great career of your life, so always be upgraded and be regular on the coding part as programming needs a regular practice. There will be a lot of times in your life where you will feel like giving up in your coding and will be completely frustrated, But remember one thing all the coders goes through this and overcome there anxiety of giving up and finish there work, this thing is a part of life, So if they can then definitely you can!!.

And remember as a fresher you should focus on getting inside an IT industry and start your career, Not on reaching directly on a higher position, that's completely foolishness and start small and reach big. This is what life is you learn each and every step of your life and you grow step by step.
